Mum and toddler airlifted after single vehicle accident
Just after 3:30pm (Saturday), the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to a single vehicle accident south west of Tin Can Bay involving a mother and toddler daughter.
The dual cab 4WD had left the road and collided with forestry trees.
All emergency services attended and the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aero-medical team assisted the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) in treating the two patients. Both mum and daughter suffered traumatic injuries and were airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
