Man injured following horse fall

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man aged in his sixties after he fell from a horse earlier today. 

The aeromedical crew were tasked to the man's property, west of the Sunshine Coast, shortly after 9 o'clock this morning. 

The aeromedical crew worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the man before flying him to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. 

The man was transported in a stable condition.

2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
