Man airlifted from serious motor-vehicle accident outside Tara

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a middle-aged man who was involved in a serious head-on collision outside Tara, in the Western Downs region earlier this afternoon.
 

A campervan and a ute were involved in the collision. 

The man suffered serious lower-limb injuries in the crash and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition. 
The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
