Man airlifted after horse landed on him
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a man in his 30s after he fell off a horse about 50 kilometres out of Bundaberg.
The man was riding at around 7pm yesterday when he fell to the ground, after which the horse and saddle landed on his pelvic and abdominal region.
The man was treated at the scene by the LifeFlight Critical Care Paramedic before being transported to hospital in a stable condition.
2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
