Man airlifted after fall from roof

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a middle-aged man after he fell from a roof in the Fraser Coast region yesterday afternoon.

The man was treated at the scene by Queensland Ambulance Service Paramedics (QAS) and LifeFlight's aeromedical crew before being airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Late yesterday evening the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to transfer the same patient to the Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital for further specialist care.

2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,334 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.

LifeFlight is a community-based charity that relies on donations from the public and community support to the LifeFlight Foundation.
