Chopper called to 2 separate truck crashes

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter attended the scene of two separate truck accidents yesterday afternoon.

A man in his thirties sustained lower body injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba in a stable condition.

Upon arrival at Toowoomba Hospital the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was immediately re-tasked to another accident involving a truck and a car at View Vale.

Due to an imminent storm the helicopter had to return to base after arriving at the accident however the medical crew remained at the scene to treat the injured patient until they were taken to hospital.
