Two children airlifted after being hit by car
Two children have been airlifted with serious injuries after they were hit by a car while crossing a road on their way to school in Pittsworth earlier this morning.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a five-year-old girl who suffered serious suspected head and multi-trauma injuries following the accident.
A boy, aged 7, was also airlifted by the Queensland Government helicopter, QG Air with serious injuries.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene at 8.41am. A LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor treated the girl on the scene and stabilised her for the flight.
The girl was airlifted to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
