Trail bike rider injured in Glasshouse Mountains
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a trail bike rider from the Glasshouse Mountains after he fell from his bike around 10.30 this morning.
The man was riding with friends when he fell from his bike and sustained suspected chest and back injuries.
He was wearing protective riding clothing and a helmet which reduced the impact of his injuries.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the man on the scene and drove him via 4WD to the waiting RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.
He was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
