Rider airlifted after colliding with kangaroo

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a 19-year-old man, on holidays from Victoria, after he crashed his motorbike into a kangaroo at property near Miles yesterday. 

The man suffered abdominal injuries and after spending the night at the Miles Hospital the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to airlift the man to Toowoomba Hospital for further treatment. 

The accident was the fourth motorbike accident RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crews have attended to in the past 48 hours in South-East Queensland.

2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,252 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
