RACQ LifeFlight airlifts three people injured in overnight crashes

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue has airlifted three patients, following two separate crashes overnight.

The Toowoomba-based helicopter was tasked to a two-vehicle crash on the Warrego Highway, 20 kilometres east of Chinchilla, just after 6pm. It’s believed one of the cars may have swerved to avoid a kangaroo.

Two patients – a Chinchilla man in his 40’s and a Logan City man in his 20’s – were taken to Chinchilla Hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) with minor injuries. They were both then airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

Early this morning the RACQ Sunshine Coast rescue helicopter was also tasked to airlift a man involved in a motor vehicle accident at Kingaroy. He was transported to Kingaroy Hospital by the QAS, then airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital with a suspected spinal injury.
