RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts mine worker
The Mount Isa based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a woman from a mine east of Mount Isa over the weekend.
It’s believed the 23 year old worker suffered an epileptic fit on Saturday, and needed immediate medical attention. With the nearest hospital more than a two hour drive away, the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called in to take the woman to Mount Isa Hospital.
LifeFlight Pilot Richard Schur was able to land at the mine, where the woman was being treated by a Paramedic.
The woman was transported to the Mount Isa hospital in a stable condition.
