LifeFlight airlifts man after fall from tree

A man in his late forties has been airlifted by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter after he fell from a tree in Belli Park, west of Eumundi earlier this morning.

The man was camping with friends at the time when he fell from the tree he was climbing and suffered suspected spinal injuries.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked at 11.40am with a LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor onboard who administered treatment and stabilised the man before he was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

LifeFlight is a community-based charity that relies on donations from the public and community support.
