Quad bike rider airlifted after collision with cow
LifeFlight's Toowoomba based Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) helicopter has airlifted a man in his 70's, following a quad bike accident involving a cow, south west of the Gold Coast.
It's believed the man had been riding a quad bike outside a property when he collided with the cow, with the impact throwing the man from his bike.
He sustained serious injuries and had to be flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The airlift was the second community mission for the SGAS helicopters in as many days.
