Motorbike rider airlifted from Cooyar

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown to Motorcross Mountain park near Cooyar at 10:50 AM today to airlift an injured motorbike rider.

A 24 year old male from the Gold Coast was camping at the popular motorbike park and was riding his motorbike when he crashed and sustained a suspected fracture to his leg. 

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene of the accident and assisted Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics who were first on scene.

The patient was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition for further medical treatment.
