Man rescued after falling from a horse
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a 30-year-old man after he was thrown from a horse and dragged along by the animal.
The aeromedical crew were tasked to the property, north of Eidsvold, just after 1 o'clock today.
Upon arrival the team worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to treat the man for leg injuries.
The man was then flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,342 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
LifeFlight is a community-based charity that relies on donations from the public and community support to the LifeFlight Foundation.
