Man airlifted following accident near Mount Maria
A man in his eighties has been airlifted by the Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter following a motorcycle accident in the Mount Maria area earlier this morning.
The man suffered severe lacerations as well as suspected leg and possible spinal injuries after a passing car clipped the motorcyclist on a small country road.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were first on the scene and were assisted by both Queensland Police Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the scene at 10.40am this morning and airlifted the man to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
