Man airlifted after parachuting accident

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a Brisbane man in his 30's from the scene of a parachute accident north west of Brisbane.

The patient suffered suspected spinal and head injuries after a hard landing on both feet. He is also suspected to have broken his right femur.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first on the scene to administer treatment.

The Toowoomba based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew were sent to the accident at 10:59am.

The patient was airlifted in a stable condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
