Man airlifted after multiple stabbings

A 26-year-old man was airlifted by a LifeFlight Air Ambulance jet, sponsored by RACQ after he suffered multiple stab wounds during an incident in Blackwater last night.

The man was injured in an altercation between two men and received multiple stab wounds to his chest and abdomen, resulting in serious injuries. 

The man was airlifted by local helicopter service, RACQ Capricorn Rescue from Blackwater to Emerald where he was met by a LifeFlight Air Ambulance jet which continued airlifting the patient to Brisbane.

He arrived in Brisbane at approximately 8.44am this morning and was transported via road to the Princess Alexander Hospital by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics in a critical condition.
