Man airlifted after cow attack

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man, aged in his 50s, after he was kicked by a cow at a property near Cooroy this morning.

The man was treated for head, neck and shoulder injuries, before he was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter has attended to 44 patients around Queensland with animal related injuries so far this year, involving cows, bulls, horses, sharks and snakes.

2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,252 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
