LifeFlight attends Motor Vehicle Accident near Augathella
LifeFlight's Roma-based Surat Basin Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter flew to a single vehicle rollover located approximately 30km of Augathella on the Landsborough highway at 11:35 AM.
A 78 and 15 year old male became entrapped in the vehicle after it rolled and had to be freed by local firefighting services and initially treated by Queensland Ambulance Service.
The 78 year old male sustained suspected chest injuries and was airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) from the airport at Augathella and flown to Brisbane.
The 15 year old male sustained suspected head trauma and was airlifted by the Roma-based LifeFlight SGAS helicopter to Roma Airport to transfer the patient to RDFS who flew him onwards to Brisbane.
Both patients were transported in stable conditions.
