Injured horserider airlifted from remote rural station

The Mount Isa-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Coolullah Station north east of Mount Isa at 11:26 AM this morning.

A 19 year old female was mustering cattle on horseback when her animal threw her from the saddle and stood on her hip causing a suspected pelvic injury.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene and the patient was treated by the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic.
