Fraser Island holiday cut short

The LifeFlight crew flew to Fraser Island's Orchid Beach airstrip to meet the Island paramedic. The female patient was suffering from abdominal pain and was in a serious but stable condition.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked at 1:33pm to Orchid Beach, Fraser Island and airlifted a 35 year old Female patient on holiday from New South Wales with her four month old baby boy.

The LifeFlight crew flew to Fraser Island's Orchid Beach airstrip to meet the Island paramedic. The female patient was suffering from abdominal pain and was in a serious but stable condition.

The patient was assessed by LifeFlight's aeromedical crew and then flown to the Harvey Bay Hospital for further assessment with four month old baby boy on board.
