Five year old airlifted following motorcycle accident

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue has airlifted a five year old girl who suffered a head injury following a motorcycle accident north of Brisbane.

The young girl had been riding on her family's rural property when she ran into some debris and was thrown off the motorcycle, suffering a suspected facial injury.

Thankfully, the girl had been wearing full protective riding gear and suffered no further injuries.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first on the scene, administering pain relief.

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew was called to the accident at 4:23pm and transported the patient in a stable condition to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, Brisbane.
