Diver hospitalised following incident at Ex-HMAS
A 47-year-old Sydney man has been airlifted from Kawana Surf Club by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter after a diving complication.
The man was diving at Ex-HMAS Brisbane near Mooloolaba when a dive related complication occurred prior to him surfacing.
The man was transported to Kawana Surf Club by boat, where he was then treated and transported by Queensland Ambulance Services (QAS) to a nearby park.
He was met by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter and airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.
