Boy airlifted after being struck by a truck
A 14 year old boy has been airlifted by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter after he was hit by a truck in Noosaville earlier today.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew - with LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor on-board - flew to the scene around 12:30pm and treated the boy for head injuries.
He was then airlifted to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,252 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
