19-year-old injured after dirt bike accident

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a 19-year-old woman north of Crowsnest to Princess Alexandra Hospital after a dirt bike accident.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew arrived on the scene to treat the woman for pelvis and back injuries. 

The patient was then flown in a stable condition.

2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,342 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.

LifeFlight is a community-based charity that relies on donations from the public and community support to the LifeFlight Foundation.
