Toddler airlifted after near drowning in Sunshine Coast pool
A two-year-old boy has been airlifted to Brisbane by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue this morning following a near drowning in a pool at a Sunshine Coast property.
The toddler was pulled from the water unconscious sometime between 6.30am-7am and was taken to the local hospital by road suffering breathing difficulties.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter received the call for help at 8.30am to retrieve the boy from Nambour General Hospital.
He was flown to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
