Sunday ride leads to CareFlight airlift
A 59-year-old man suffering multiple injuries was airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after he was involved in a motorcycle accident near Kenilworth today.
The Brisbane resident was enjoying a recreational motorcycle ride along Maleny-Kenilworth Road when he lost control of the vehicle through a tight section of the roadway.
It’s understood the vehicle left the road and travelled around three meters down an embankment, causing the rider to suffer multiple trauma related injuries.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to assist the man at around 12.15pm.
Once on scene, the CareFlight clinical crew treated the man for his injuries.
He was then airlifted to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
