The Sunshine Coast based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called into assist with the search for the pilot after it was believed he made a forced landing yesterday near Double Island Point.
The crew began searching with night vision goggles around 10:30 last night and returned to base without sighting the hang glider or the pilot.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter resumed the search this morning.
