Man winched to safety after cliff fall at Noosa
A 22-year-old man was winched to safety by RACQ LifeFlight Rescue after he fell several metres down an embankment at Sunshine Beach on Saturday.
The man suffered multiple injuries, including head, neck and leg injuries after he slipped and fell at the local national park.
It’s understood the man lost consciousness for a short time before emergency services arrived.
Due to the remote location, the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to assist at around 2.15pm.
The rescue helicopter quickly located the injured man and winched the on-board Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic down to treat the patient at the scene.
He was then winched into the aircraft on a stretcher and flown to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
