Man airlifted after falling from a tree
A man suffering injuries following a fall was airlifted from the Sundown National Park, South West of Stanthorpe.
It's believed a 43-year-old man from Brisbane fell from a tree overnight and sustained a broken collar bone and minor neck injuries.
Due to the remote campsite where the patient was located, it was decided that the most effective and quickest way to get him to hospital was by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.
The Toowoomba based helicopter was tasked shortly before 10am Saturday to assist the injured man.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter's medical team assisted the local Queensland Ambulance Service in treating him for his injuries and he was airlifted to the Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
