CareFlight helicopter called to Yelvertoft Station twice in less than 24 hours
Two people injured in separate accidents at Yelvertoft Station have been airlifted to hospital by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter service in as many days.
The first call for help came in at 4.30pm on Easter Saturday after a teenage boy suffered a bad fall whilst bull riding.
The bull rider sustained a suspected head injury and concussion.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Mount Isa based helicopter airlifted the patient to Mount Isa Base Hospital in a stable condition.
CareFlight’s Mount Isa crew was deployed to Yelvertoft Station for a second time in less than 24 hours at 7am today.
A woman suffered suspected fractured ribs after falling from a horse.
She was also airlifted to Mount Isa Base Hospital in a stable condition.
