Woman airlifted after fall from horse
A woman in her fifties has been airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter with suspected head and neck injuries after falling from her horse.
The Sunshine Coast rescue helicopter was tasked to Cootharaba, north west of Noosa, just after noon.
The woman had been riding on a private property when her horse shied, throwing her.
The rider is believed to have landed on her head.
The patient was treated on scene by QAS, and the Critical Care Doctor and Intensive Care Flight Paramedic on board the rescue helicopter, before being flown to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition for further tests and observation.
