Two airlifted after separate Motocross accidents
The Sunshine Coast's RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter airlifted two patients from a motocross event near the town of Cooyar, around 40 km's South West of Nanango on Sunday afternoon.
Both patients were injured in separate accidents.
The first patient, a woman in her early twenties from Kingaroy suffered suspected spinal injuries after falling from her bike at low speed.
A second rider, a male in his late forties from Brisbane suffered a serious lower leg injury when he too fell off his bike.
The rescue helicopter met the Queensland Ambulance Service at the Cooyar Primary school oval to airlift both patients to Nambour Hospital.
Both patients were in a stable condition.
