Motorcyclist airlifted by Roma chopper
A man has been injured in a motorcycle accident north of Wandoan this afternoon, requiring an airlift by the Roma-based Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) helicopter.
A passing motorist found the man on the side of the road just before midday and called triple-0, with the helicopter dispatched soon after.
The patient was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition to receive treatment for multiple injuries.
The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) has drawn on the air-medical experience of Queensland’s iconic CareFlight service to provide local communities with this lifesaving care.
