Man crushed by tractor airlifted by CareFlight
A man in his 70s who was crushed in a tractor accident was airlifted by the Bundaberg-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter from Mundubbera Hospital this afternoon.
The man sustained damage to both legs after the bucket of a tractor fell and pinned him against a metal grid.
The man was able to free himself from under the tractor bucket and managed to walk a short distance to call triple-0.
He was transported by the Queensland Ambulance Service to Mundubbera Hospital before RACQ CareFlight Rescue was called in to urgently airlift the gentleman to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.
He travelled in a stable condition.
