Man airlifted from Sunshine Coast beach by RACQ CareFlight Rescue
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has flown to the aid of a 40-year-old man at Pincushion Island, Twin Waters after he suffered suspected spinal injuries.
The rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene of the incident shortly before 5.45pm on Monday evening.
It’s believed the man had been walking along rocks before he slipped and fell from a height of around three metres.
The helicopter landed at the scene where the patient was assessed by CareFlight’s medical team.
He was then airlifted to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
