Man airlifted after dam accident
The Toowoomba Base crew of RACQ CareFlight was activated for it's second primary mission Saturday to a private property West of Tara.
It's believed a 27 year old male from the old Coast was visiting friends on a property when they chose to jump into a dam to cool off. The patient had climbed some machinery to jump into the dam when he slipped and suffered two broken ankles and a wrist.
The local QAS treated the patient on scene and assisted the rescue helicopters medical team and transported the patient a short distance to the chopper before being airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
