Man airlifted after Fraser Island accident
An injured 20-year-old man has been airlifted from Fraser Island overnight (Monday) by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter service.
The young man suffered a suspected concussion and possible spinal injury after diving into shallow water at Lake McKenzie and banging his head.
The Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Fraser Island at 4.30pm on Monday.
He was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
