CareFlight winches injured man from Table Top Mountain
The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has winched a 30-year-old man with leg injuries from Table Top Mountain near Toowoomba.
It’s believed the man had been completing a group personal training session on the mountain with his dog when they both fell more than ten metres from the side of a cliff.
The Flight Paramedic on board the helicopter was winched down onto the mountain to assist crews from Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to treat the patient at the scene.
Due to the remote location, the man was then winched from the side of the mountain into the rescue helicopter.
He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s understood the injured dog was taken to the vet by friends of the man.
