CareFlight attends fifth motor vehicle accident this weekend
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has flown to the scene of a motor cycle crash, 60km south of Bundaberg this afternoon.
A man in his 20s suffered a knee injury and suspected spinal injuries after coming off his bike just after 12 noon.
The Bundaberg-based CareFlight helicopter landed on scene to treat the patient, before flying him to Bundaberg Base Hospital to further treatment.
He travelled in a stable condition.
This is the fifth accident RACQ CareFlight has attended this weekend involving motor vehicles.
On Friday evening, the helicopter was tasked to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Fraser Island to airlift a female backpacker injured in a car rollover. That same night, the team airlifted a patient from Gayndah to Bundaberg after a motor vehicle accident.
On Saturday, CareFlight flew to Childers to treat and transport a teenager who was injured after falling from a motorbike on a property. Immediately after, the same crew airlifted a man in his 50s who crashed his motorbike in Chinchilla.
All patients were airlifted in a stable condition.
