CareFlight airlifts second quad bike patient in four hours
A man in his forties has suspected spinal injuries after a quad bike accident at Manar Park, Boondooma today.
The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the location, 56 kilometres south Mundubbera, just after 2pm.
The QAS was on scene, treating and immobilising the patient.
He was flown to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s the second quad bike crash the CareFlight team has attended in under four hours.
The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) airlifted a woman in her thirties who was mustering cattle near Roma when she crashed, the bike landing on top of her.
She was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
