CareFlight’s Winter Wonderland Gala Ball this weekend
Revellers are set to frock up in their finest black tie attire at this weekend’s ninth annual Gala Ball in support of RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s lifesaving service in the South West region.
CareFlight’s Winter Wonderland Gala Ball is on this Saturday May 30 at Rumours International in Toowoomba.
The sold-out Gala promises to be a memorable evening with acclaimed Australian actor and entertainer Tom Burlinson performing with his eight-piece band on the night.
Former CareFlight patient Alice Greenup will also share her incredible story of survival – 12 years after she was urgently airlifted from a property near Kingaroy following a horrific horse mustering accident.
CareFlight’s South West Fundraising Manager Sarah Delahunty said, “The support we receive from the local community just amazes us every single year.
“It’s incredible to see how many lives the CareFlight service has touched, and how readily the community wants to give back.”
In addition to the delicious three-course meal, guests will be invited to bid on unique auction items including an outback holiday experience and one-of-a-kind sporting memorabilia donated by Senergy Management.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale for one lucky guest to win a stunning gold and diamond bangle from Bruce Robinson Diamonds nestled in a Waterford crystal vase from the Craig Black family.
All funds raised from the event will go directly to CareFlight’s local service, helping to keep the Toowoomba based helicopter flying in the South West region.
Last year’s Gala Ball raised almost $140,000 for the not-for-profit helicopter rescue service.
