Woman airlifted from Macleay Island
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has flown to Macleay Island in Moreton Bay to airlift a woman suffering a suspected neurological condition.
The Gold Coast based helicopter landed at the island’s helipad shortly after 9.30am this morning.
The woman, aged in her twenties, was treated by CareFlight’s Critical Care Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic.
She was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
