Woman airlifted after two car crash
A woman has been airlifted to hospital by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after a two car smash in the Darling Downs region.
The 68-year-old driver of one of the vehicles sustained a suspected spinal injury and leg injuries.
The crash happened on Toowoomba-Cecil Plains Road at Cecil Plains, approximately 90 kilometres west of Toowoomba.
CareFlight’s Gold Coast-based helicopter airlifted the patient to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The specialist medical and aviation teams on-board RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s community helicopters have already performed 36 missions in May.
These include eight time-critical emergency missions, four motor vehicle accidents, 23 inter-hospital transfers and one precious neonatal transfer.
