Two motocross riders injured, Killarney
RACQ Careflight was tasked to Killarney Showgrounds late Saturday afternoon where a motocross rider had injured himself whilst competing in an event.
Whilst en route to the showgrounds, our crew were advised that another rider had also been injured in a separate accident and would also be required to be airlifted to hospital.
Once on scene our medical team accessed the injuries to both patients.
The first injured rider was a 36 year old male from Brisbane who had suffered a broken left leg in a fall.
The second patient, a 16 year old male from Ipswich, suffered a suspected spinal injury after falling over the front of his bike.
Both patients were airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
