Tree branch falls on man
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to a property at Kogan this morning to treat and airlift a man in his 30s who was struck by a falling tree branch.
The large limb of the tree broke off and fell around nine metres onto the man’s shoulder.
The Toowoomba-based helicopter landed at the scene at around 11am to treat and transport the injured man to Toowoomba Base Hospital for further treatment.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue Aircrewman, Mark Arthur, said the man was ‘incredibly lucky’ to have escaped serious injury.
“It definitely could have been a lot worse,” he said.
The patient travelled in a stable condition.
