RACQ CareFlight saddles up for Charity Race Day
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter is set to receive a boost in horsepower as the iconic helicopter rescue service saddles up for its Charity Race Day next month.
The not-for-profit organisation is encouraging locals and businesses to get behind the event held at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club on Saturday, April 26 to help raise much-needed funds for the lifesaving service.
Frocks, fascinators and a fly over from the service’s locally based BK117 helicopter will set the theme for the day, which also promises great food and champagne.
A range of raffle prizes are also up for giveaway including a ‘Drive and Stay’ package courtesy of Maserati and Palazzo Versace and a two night penthouse getaway at Noosa Blue Resort donated by Moby Vics.
It’s the third year the event has been held and CareFlight’s North Coast Relationship Manager, Angela Miles says it’s set to be a great day out on the track for an even greater cause.
“We thank the Sunshine Coast Turf Club and KB Consultants for helping make this event possible and hope even more people will jump on-board to see it to success,” she said.
“Round up your friends and colleagues and enjoy a fun day on the field all while helping out CareFlight’svery worthy cause and in turn, the thousands of people we saves each year.
“You never know when you, or a loved one, might need the service.
Last year 250 patients, or nearly one-fifth of all RACQ CareFlight Rescue missions, were flown in the Sunshine Coast region.
Tickets to the RACQ CareFlight Rescue Charity Race Day cost $100 per person. Book online
