Motorcyclist airlifted after colliding with a wallaby
A motorcyclist has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue with multiple injuries after his bike hit a wallaby overnight.
The man, in his 30s, had been travelling on a country road at Glastonbury, west of Gympie, when he struck the wallaby, his bike sliding into a barbed wire fence.
Emergency Services had to extract the patient from bushland at the side of the road before transporting him to Gympie Hospital for airlift by RACQ CareFlight Rescue.
He was flown to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition, but with multiple injuries.
