Man urgently airlifted to Brisbane
A man in his 60s has been flown to a Brisbane hospital today after suffering a suspected cardiac condition.
The Surat Gas Aero-Medical helicopter airlifted the man from a mining site at Reedy Creek in Queensland’s far south west overnight.
He was initially taken to Roma Hospital, however the Roma-based helicopter was again tasked this morning on a hospital transfer after the man’s condition deteriorated.
The helicopter flew to Roma Hospital to retrieve the patient, before transferring him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for specialist medical treatment.
The man was in a serious but stable condition.
